This is an antique metal wine jug basket. These baskets would hold a large wine jug. Straw was placed at the bottom of the basket to protect the wine jug. Last year I used the basket to hold my Christmas tree. I placed a bucket filled with water into the basket and used a french linen sheet to hide the bucket. The linen sheet is not included with the basket.
